Can I Add My Own Custom Smart Review Words or Phrases?

Yes, you can create your own Smart Review cards and add your own alternate translations from the Manage Smart Review page. These are not private; they will be visible/addable for all Practice Portuguese members.

Whenever you see the Community tag, it means that the phrase and/or translation was added by a fellow Practice Portuguese member and has not been reviewed by our team yet.

Please note that the content of the phrase is subject to automatic review for insults, profanity, and toxicity. If classified accordingly, the phrase will not be permitted for inclusion in your phrase list.

Adding a new phrase or a word:

Go to Manage Smart Review
Click + Add Phrase
Search for the word/phrase to make sure we don't have it already
Click Create New Phrase at the bottom
Fill in the Portuguese phrase and English translation. You can use the translate icon on the right if needed. If you want to add a translation in another language, select the language below and enter it in the space that appears.
Double-check that everything is correct
Click Create Phrase
It will ask you to confirm

Adding a new translation:

Go to Manage Smart Review
Click + Add Phrase
Search for the word/phrase.
Check off the one you'd like to add a translation for. (Note: If the menu dots are blue, it means it already has multiple translations. Check to see if yours is already added.)
Click Create New Translation at the bottom.
Add the English translation. You can use the translate icon on the right if needed. If you want to add a translation in another language, select the language below and enter it in the space that appears.
Double-check that everything is correct and then click Create Translation
It will ask you to confirm
This will automatically select that translation as the one you'd like to use

Selecting a different translation for Smart Review:

Go to Manage Smart Review
Search for the phrase in the main list (not under Add Phrase)
If the menu (3 dots) is blue, that means there is more than 1 translation added
Open the menu
Click Show Translations
Select the translation you'd like to use

Note: Your selected translation will appear in Flash Card mode, but due to the different formats of Quiz Mode and Listen & Speak, it will need to use the default English translation in those modes.

Editing/Deleting a translation you created:

Note: The edit/delete functions are only available if no other members have already added that phrase to their Smart Review or selected your translation

Go to Manage Smart Review
Search for the phrase in the main list (not under Add Phrase )
Open the menu (3 dots)
Click Show Translations
Click the edit icon to edit, make the changes, and then click the Save icon
Or click the trash can icon to delete the translation
