Is There a Placement Test?
Currently we do not have a placement test, as our platform is set up to give you more flexibility over your learning path.
The A1, A2, B1, B2, etc levels are a useful way to organize courses, but we believe your language fluency is much more complicated than what can be described with specific level. We wanted to reflect that in our content by giving full access to members of all levels.
That said, we are considering including an optional test to help you get started, so let us know if you have any thoughts or feedback!
Our Units start from the very basics and generally get harder over time, with a little bit of variation due to more specific unit topics. You have the option to skip over whichever Units are too easy or not relevant to you.
We do filter our Shorties and other episodes by difficulty level, to help you know when to drop up or down a level if they are too easy or too hard.
Here are some tips on getting started and progressing through the site, divided up by rough categories of Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. (If it helps, you could think of Beginner as A1-A2, Intermediate as B1-B2, and Advanced as C1+). You can read more here: What Is the Best Way to Use the Site?
