I Can't Understand the Video Clips
We use clear, high quality audio in our content, but the video clips throughout the Lessons tend to be more "raw" examples of what European Portuguese sounds like. You may notice some background noise, fast speech, and dialect variations in those clips. (If the quality seems poor, please feel free to reach out so that we can review it. Occasionally a bad one sneaks through. 😉)
Many learners have told us they can understand Portuguese when it's nice and slow, and they're in a quiet room with no distractions, but then they feel completely lost in a real-life interaction (like trying to understand what the waiter just said in a loud restaurant!) So we wanted to make the learning experience a little bit closer to reality.
Every learner is at a different level, so don't feel discouraged if these are difficult at first. It's still important to be exposed to realistic language, even if it's not "clicking" right away. Keep in mind, you can always play the regular and slow speed audio to hear the clearer version.
